      Information & Advice

As we age, navigating the complexities of daily life can become increasingly challenging. Whether it’s understanding benefit entitlements, filling out complicated forms, finding local services, or simply accessing nutritious food, the process can often feel overwhelming. That’s where our Information and Advice Service comes in. We are here to simplify, support, and guide.

Our service provides practical assistance with:

Form filling: Ensuring applications for benefits, housing, and care support are completed accurately and efficiently.

Benefit entitlement advice: Helping people access the financial support they are entitled to but may not even be aware of.

Navigating the care system: Understanding care options, whether at home or in residential settings, and connecting individuals with the right services.

Local services: Pointing people towards community programmes, social activities and practical help, from home adaptations to transportation.

Food and nutrition: Helping access meal delivery services, food banks, or community dining programmes to ensure no one goes hungry.

We know that access to the right information at the right time can transform lives. A simple conversation can mean the difference between someone struggling in silence and receiving the help they need.

Our goal is to empower, not overwhelm—to make sure that elderly individuals, as well as their families and caregivers, have a trusted place to turn to for clear, practical and compassionate guidance.

If you or someone you know could benefit from our support, please don’t hesitate to reach out, because no one should have to navigate these challenges alone—help is here, and we are ready to assist.

There will be people to help here at the Hub, at St Radigunds Community Centre and at the Bechange Community Hub in Aylesham.

It may be that we are able to give you some immediate support, or you may need some longer-term assistance.

If we are not able to help you with a specific area that is concerning you then we will help you to access assistance from other agencies.
