Community Hub
Our popular Hub aims to help people to be independent, improve their quality of life and provide social opportunities whilst making friends. We are open from 9.00 am to 3:30 pm Monday to Friday.
You can pop in any time of the day within our opening hours and stay for as long as you want. There is no joining or entrance fee.
If you are unable to get to the Hub independently we are able to provide transport on certain days. The transport will pick you up from your doorstep and when you are finished at the Hub we will take you back home. The cost of the transport is £8.00 for both journeys.
What can you expect from the Hub?
The Riverside Community Hub provides a chance to socialise with other people. If required we can provide practical assistance with support from our staff and volunteers. We also have daily activities to join including, but not limited to;
- Bingo
- Quizzes
- Art classes
- Knit & Natter
- Various games
- Seated & standing exercise classes
All our customers can choose to stay for a 2 course hot lunch which includes a water or squash, followed by a cup of tea or coffee. We also have a snack bar offering hot and cold drinks, cakes, sausage rolls, sandwiches and other items.
